As a Technical Support Specialist for our Aplication Support team, you are responsible for the technical.
You will play a central role between the business, the development and the IT infrastructure teams.
You are: self-motivated with a can do mentality.
Eager to learn, proactive and enthusiastic.
Able to work independently and meet challenging deadlines.
Good communication skills are essential.
Technical knowledge:
- Linux/SQL/Websphere/Tibco
- ITIL
- Erase (nice to have)
- Fircosoft (nice to have)
Competencies:
- Strong in communication (very important)
- Self starter (very important)
- Pro active (very important)
- General knowledge of IT Infrastructure (Unix, web- and application-servers, databases, networks, Firewalls, Proxy-servers)
- Organization sensitivity
- Good at progress monitoring
Activities:
- execute acceptance of new erase and fircosoft applications
- manage and solve incidents and problems
- perform IT operations tasks (monitoring, batch execution)
- make sure all risk documentation is up to date
- knowledge transfer to the rest of the team
Our team will start supporting two new applications. First the support of these applications has to be implemented as pragmatic as possible on a short timescale, after that it needs to be integrated with the activities of the rest of the team.
Languages:
Fluent in English (writen and spoken)
Other wishes:
Be prepared to work in shifts, starting at 07:00 or finishing at 19:00 or be standby 24*7. Also working in the weekend is sometimes required to coordinate deployments
