What will you be doing in the role?
- Building models for credit risk and marketing, helping to optimise a range of objectives from customer acquisition to pricing
- Working with a range of techniques - regression, propensity, similar statistical techniques
- Spotting new opportunities for improvement, ensuring that models are up-to-date and fit for purpose
- Presenting and liaising with senior managers and heads of departments
- Taking ownership of projects
- Continually honing your technical skills with a view to progressing your career
What are we looking for?
- Strong analytical mind, ideally with a degree in Maths, Statistics, Operational Research, Computer Science, or a similar quantitative subject
- Ability to analyse and interpret data, and provide meaningful recommendations - tell a story from the data!
- Commercial experience of statistical modelling techniques, ideally in a financial environment.
- Skills with SAS, SQL, Excel, SPSS, Stata, or similar statistical software would be very desirable
- Understanding of customer insight/credit risk decision making processes - decision trees, risk appetites, etc
