Rate & Equity Derivative Confirmations Analyst/Manchester/6 months Contract

Financial services company are looking for a Rate & Equity Derivative Confirmations Analyst.

Role

The role is for an Interest Rate & Equity Derivative Confirmations Analyst to perform the operations requirements. The work will be managed as part of the European Operations Centre team within Global Rates Confirmations. The team is responsible for the drafting of Vanilla and Structured Interest Rate and Equity derivative Confirmation documents in line with ISDA and other European master agreement definitions such as AFB/FBF. Once dispatched the team are a point of contact for the counterparties to investigate queries or to chase for the documents to be executed. The confirmation documents provide risk mitigation through the accurate reflection of the economic risk of the trade and are executed in a manner to comply with both "European Market Infrastructure Regulation (EMIR) and The Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act (Dodd-Frank) regulatory targets.

The EOC team primarily service European corporate clients and other financial institutions including Banks and Hedge Funds. The team provide support to Front Office trading desks and sales covering the UK, Europe, Asia and North America and Middle Office teams to ensure internal risk reflection systems as well as trade confirmation documents accurately reflect the risk of the trade and are executed within the above mentioned regulatory deadlines. The team mediate with internal legal counsel, our in house solicitors, in order to resolve legal language disputes and to agree upon bespoke legal provisions when required. Team members will be expected to perform a variety of key tasks pertaining to the above processes.

Criteria

Understanding of derivatives - equity & interest rates (More focus on interest rates)

Understanding the format of drafting and documentation to complete the deal

Investment Bank/Broker/Consultancy background would be good

Transaction reporting or trading control

Duration

The client has identified that the Rate & Equity Derivative Confirmations Analyst will be required initially for 6 months

Location

The Rate & Equity Derivative Confirmations Analyst will be required to work in Manchester.
