Responsibilities
- Enable and drive the business transformation through the reinforcement of the team that will leverage technology and design new solutions to enhance the internal development processes.
- Success will be measured by the stability of the current tools supporting our business, the transformation of the same and the reduction of production efforts
- Define and implement an organic SW tools ecosystem, reducing existing complexity
- Assess the current tools inventory and plan risk containment actions to keep it under control while executing the long term plan
- Propose strategic projects that leverage automation opportunities and increase productivity of data developers
- Drive projects from concept through requirements capture to implementation and validation
- Showcase agile methodologies and prove its potential to achieve ambitious objectives quickly and in an structured manner
- Help recruiting new talent to reinforce the existing team
- Nurture team dynamics and motivate the individuals to perform beyond expectations
- Manage and prioritize a projects and products portfolio
- Upgrade the existing toolset to the next technology generation and train the different business units to seize the new capabilities
Qualification
- 7+ years of technical development experience with proven managerial and technical leadership experience
- Expert in Java, C, SQL development; able to technically lead teams
- Solid experience in software development using Agile Methodologies; prefer SCRUM
- Systems thinking - the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (big picture thinking)
- Comprehensive knowledge of hardware, software, application, and systems engineering
- Interpersonal and leadership skills - servant leadership, collaboration, facilitation, and negotiation skills
- Ability to explain complex technical issues in a way that non-technical people may understand
- Will to understand the technical challenges at a detailed level
- Desired interest in the automotive sector
- International experience desired
- Excellent English language
