Our exclusive client, a large utilities Provider in the UK is looking for a CAD Technician to assist with the Community Projects across the UK.
Job Purpose:
The CAD Technician is responsible for the delivery of 2D and 3D drawings and models to meet the appropriate legislation, standards and requirements for the Design and Commissioning teams within the business.
Responsibilities:
* Production & modification of 2D & 3D Mechanical, Electrical and other drawings required for the design and commissioning team.
o In line with all associated design and regulator standards
o In line with internal revision and design management standards
* Checking quality and accuracy of own work and others, ensuring outputs meet the required standards.
* Co-ordinate the setting and maintenance of CAD standards.
* Manage and maintain 3D libraries for components and manufacturers equipment.
* Manage work on a range of Design and Build projects, ensuring deadlines are met.
* Contributing to project related correspondence and reports.
* Manage drawings produced on the internal Share point system.
* Partner Designers, Engineers, Project Delivery Managers and Document Controllers to ensure solutions are in line with requirements.
* Management and review of the work produced by external CAD companies.
* Co-ordinate project and team administrative duties and document control
