Description
Our client is a major UK retailer, FTSE 100 equivalent in size, offering a broad portfolio of consumer services who are seeking a financial control specialist to help finish the implementation of a financial control framework.
This will entail
- Implementing a control self-assessment system for financial controls across the company
- Reporting on risk/non-risk and compliance and non-compliance and closing out any known control gaps
- Ownership and testing of the framework
- Working with audit committee and users to ensure successful application of the framework
The successful candidate will have
- Experience in implementing a financial control framework (Sarbanes Oxley) in a financial services environment
- An ACA qualification
- Good stakeholder management and communication skills
- Comprehensive understanding of operational risk management and proven experience of ensuring companywide compliance with relevant regulatory processes
- Excellent communication skills with an ability to ensure complex information is articulated to varied audiences
