Civil Engineer - Building Foundations
A Civil Engineer with Building Foundations experience is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our defence client based in Portsmouth.
This is a 6 month contract with a leading UK defence company.
Overview of the Civil Engineer contract role
You will be required to provide civil engineering governance, advice and small work design through our clients naval project life cycle on their dock extension marine infrastructure projects. You will also support, supplement and coordinate existing engineering support for our client.
Key skills required for the Civil Engineer
- Have a general broad based knowledge of civil engineering and experience of its practical application.
- Chartered engineer status or working towards.
- PC Literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and Outlook and Powerpoint.
- Ideally NEBOSH or SMSTS trained but not essential.
- Previous experience of pavement and foundation design (maritime preferred).
The role is based in Portsmouth, Hampshire - commutable from Southampton, Cowes, Isle of Wight, Salisbury, Winchester, Andover, Basingstoke, Guildford, Aldershot, Crawley, Horsham, Brighton, Worthing, Chichester.
