Job Mission
Maintain and modify the implementation of the software development environment, in co-operation with departmental architects and the internal customer.
Job Description
Take ownership of (parts of) the software development environment as provided to the internal customer. The software development environment is used by approximately 2000 developers.
Participate as technical expert in projects within the IT CCP ST Software SEI group.
Define and implement improvement proposals that focus on system performance and process efficiency for end-users.
Give support in solving difficult 3rd line incidents.
Strong partner in discussions with the departmental architects and stakeholders within the internal customer departments.
Keep abreast with relevant literature, means and methods.
Skills
At least Bachelor level degree or equivalent working experience.
More than 5 years of relevant experience and proven experience in large technical complicated development environments
Thorough understanding and practical experience with:
o Development environments
o Version control tooling like subversion, Git or Perforce
o Unix/Linux Hardware infrastructure
o Scripting languages like Shell Scripting, Perl, Ruby or Python
Knowledge of tooling around version control like Collabnet, Github or Bitbucket server.
Experience with an Object Oriented programming language is a prerequisite.
