Systems Engineer - Avionics

Working for a large Aerospace company based in Cheltenham - this will include:
- Systems engineering experience across the life cycle, preferably with hands-on experience in requirements development and validation, system architecture and V&V/Testing
- Avionics experience, preferably in communication/controls/data buses
- Modelling and simulation experience, preferably in Matlab/Simulink tools
- Strong DOORS background
- Systems thinking, able to understand/evaluate impact of customer requirements changes across the systems engineering life cycle
Essential Experience:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in aeronautics, avionics, electrical, electronic engineering or computer science, or similar level of knowledge and experience
- Systems Requirements capture and generation
- Aerospace systems design, development, verification and test - full life cycle exposure
- Experience with software/hardware requirements and/or design
- Previous experience working to safety critical standards
Desirable:
- DOORS - authoring and managing systems requirements
- Previous experience working on aerospace systems
- Safety critical standards - DO178B, ARP4754A or similar
- Communication protocols, ARINC Protocols (664, 825, 429, 653)
- Configuration control/management
- Experience of complex IMA systems
- The ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
