Senior Platform Engineer - £500-£600pd - Central London - 6 month contract
Working with a leading e-commerce companies based in London, with a high-functional/ high-transactional platform that manages thousands of transactions a minute. They are currently looking for a Senior Platform Engineer (AWS, Database (MS SQL/MySQL), Powershell/Bash, Programming (C#/Ruby), Agile -BDD/TDD, CI/CD) who thrives in building and operating robust platforms on AWS.
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with excellent experience and enthusiasm in hands-on coding and SOLID principles C# that has years of experience working on building, supporting and managing e-commerce platforms. If you are passionate about your ownership of work on creating a robust platform that includes deployment, operation, future planning and support processes then that would be ideal.
The platform should be fully functional on an AWS infrastructure and ensures that it will be highly scalable and reliable. If you enjoy supporting teams, and taking full control of the delivery pipeline to push forward CI/CD transformation then you will excel in this role.
You will be working alongside a variety of product teams and they are looking for someone who can think on their feet and is able to come up with simple solutions to complex problems. If you thrive in an environment where you will have the autonomy to bring your own ideas to the table then you will excel in this role.
Essential Skills:
- AWS
- Programming - C#/Python
- Working within an e-commerce business
- Database Knowledge (MS SQL/MySQL)
- Powershell/Bash/Ruby
- Multi OS for infrastructure
- Application/server performance monitoring and tuning
Advantageous Skills:
- HAProxy
- Monitoring and metric infrastructure (e.g. Graphite, Logstash, Sensu, Nagios)
- Hashicorp
- Experienced working with continuous integration/deployment
