Job Title: Front End JavaScript Developer
Location: Leicester
Duration: 6 months Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Front End JavaScript Developer to be part of a team creating an excellent customer experience, with a leading company based in Leicester.
Our client are currently redesigning and rebuilding their customer-facing website from scratch. In this role, you will be responsible for Front End development of a number of innovative Single Page Web Applications, reviewing the code of other Front End developers and then oper
ational support of the code delivered. You will be responsible for building and enhancing the new client-side Emberjs application (and Emberjs Add-ons).
The key responsibilities for this role will be:
- Participate in scrum ceremonies, activities and work as an integral member of the scrum team
- Provide thought leadership in designing and architecting Ember applications/add-ons and APIs that will enable these applications
- Translate UX designs into high-level application architecture and create solutions that fulfil the business requirements
- Provide high-level and detailed estimates against user stories
- Write secure, high-performance, scalable, reusable and reliable JavaScript following company and best practice coding standards
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs
- Help maintain and improve code quality, organization, and automation
- Work collaboratively with other members of the team and with other teams
- Most importantly, present your case in a clear, concise, unbiased and easy to understand way to support decision-making by the product owners and other less/non-technical stakeholders
Key Skills:
- Commercial Front End Development Experience
- Extensive JavaScript experience
- Strong Experience with Ember.js or Angular.js
- Ideally node.js or react.js (not essential)
- Troubleshooting Experience
- Knowledge of ES6, HTML, CSS and automated testing
