Job Spec:
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Operate as a development team member, and within a multi-disciplinary squad to deliver changes aligned around bringing greatest value to the business.
*Write high quality, secure code to meet department standards, including unit and integration tests and address issues.
*Peer review changes made by colleagues and provide feedback.
*Contribute to the wider development community and participate in continuous improvement
*Work directly with users at all levels of the business to understand their requirements and ensure the software is being developed according to those requirements.
*Provide occasional out of hours developer support to ensure key customer services are maintained in line with agreed SLA's
*To undertake any other duties as specified from time to time in accordance with my clients business requirements.
*Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and specifically that which relates to Data Protection, Money Laundering and Treating the Customer Fairly ('TCF') and attend update training as may be required from time to time.

PAST EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
Essential
*Excellent development skills with in-browser Scripting and JS Frameworks
*Excellent skills with HTML5 and CSS3 to create polished designs
*Use of JavaScript and at least one current JavaScript framework in a commercial setting
*Commercial experience (you are or have been a professional Software developer)
*Testing Frameworks (eg Karma, Protractor or other)
*High disciplined approach to version control (Git, Stash, SVN or equivalent)
*Worked within a multi-disciplinary team environment
*Experience with complex software systems
*Experience of the full software development life cycle; analysis, design, development, testing and implementation
*Worked with, and within, defined coding standards and software design principles
Advantageous:
*Worked within a genuinely Agile development environment
*Angular2/Typescript
*Knowledge of UI Build Tools eg Gulp
*Familiarity with JS module loaders eg SystemJS/WebPack
*TDD, BDD
*Design patterns, SOLID principles
*Knowledge of Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc)
Nice to have:
*Node.js experience
*Continuous Integration Experience
*SQLServer or other Database experience
*Java or Server Side development experience
*Business applications especially in the Financial Business sector
*Educated to degree level or equivalent
