My client, a pioneer in ICT industry is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join their newly structured R&D team. The team will carry out pioneering R&D to lead the Telecom industry transformation towards Digital business, providing Intelligent (AI) systems and services to support such transformation and new business models.
With this opportunity, you will be able to undertake advanced R&D and develop best-in-breed software for Future Network Management and Operations platforms & solutions.
Responsibility:
*Take ownership & responsibility for all work; working with a senior team in a fast-paced, cutting-edge environment requires everyone to take full ownership & responsibility for working to the highest standards
*There is a strong emphasis on validating the applicability of our work, so for example the design and development of suitable PoCs will be another important part of the role
*Open & communicative approach, keeping stakeholders fully informed and sharing your experience & expertise with peers;
*Flexible approach to working on different projects within an agile and DevOps environment;
Requirement:
*Ability to learn quickly new technologies (example Open Whisk serverless) and apply in a project.
*8+ years' experience in 'full stack' software development environment with 3-5 years' experience working in Agile/DevOps environment. By 'full stack', we mean developing whole application product, from Web UI, Back End processing exposed via REST APIs or asynchronous stream processing, and persistence.
*Exceptional experience in container technologies (Docker/Swarm/Kubernetes/Ansible)
*Good hands-on skills in Cloud computing technologies (eg AWS EC2, Google Cloud Compute, Azure)
*Working experience of data persistence technologies (eg SQL RDBMS and/or NoSQL like MongoDB, Cassandra or Couchbase)
*Working experience of Web UI code (HTML/CSS, Javascript, assuming that given UI Design is given by Designer team)
*Strong hands-on skills with Java/JEE, Nodejs or similar & related enterprise technologies (REST, JSON)
Advantages but not necessary:
*Software architectures & related frameworks (Reactive Patterns, Streaming Architecture, micro-services, SOA);
*Demonstrated experience in developing and maintaining APIs exposed to wider group of developer (eg REST API, semantic versioning)
*Experience with enterprise software solutions (HA, high-throughput, redundancy);
*Excellent understanding of Big Data and Event Stream Analytics & related technologies, their strengths & weaknesses (eg Hadoop, Apache Spark, Flink, Beam, distribution & federation of data lakes solutions)
