Description

RATE: €47 - €48 per hour
LOCATION: Mons, Belgium
DURATION: 920 hours + extension

THE ROLE
Consult with the AOSS team, assist in the development, testing and deployment of the new functionality requested by the user community, and implement of fix the following non-exhaustive list of issues:
*Fix the refresh issues in AOSS
*Implement the dynamic network graph (which is now static)
*Implement a deconfliction routine to minimise duplicate information
*Implement a second level of categorisation in the scrapbook
*Keep a history of movements in the scrapbook
*Link news items to images
*Fix the issue of headlines being too long
*Correct the image filtering
*Implement the synonyms dictionary
*Allow watchers to be shared by users
*Allow searching by author
*Improve the account request mechanism
*Give visual feedback on read items
*Provide a better source filtering mechanism
*Correct the issues of empty documents appearing
*Give a user configurable home screen (panel display chosen in preferences)
*Validate watcher names before saving (avoid duplicates)
*Activate the language identification
*Provide language filtering
*Provide formatting in the report generation
*Re-design the "access denied" page with the relevant links to get access
*Filter duplicates in geo queries
*Store search history in session
*Display the sentiment analysis
*Show versioning of incoming documents

ESSENTIAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
*Expert knowledge of MVC, JavaScript, C#, rich web applications and ASP.NET
*Expertise in creating and configuring web solutions using out-of-the box Sencha ExtJS features to meet customer requirements.
*Must have recent experience (within the past 5 years) in User Experience (UX) design in C# and JavaScript, leveraging the latest technologies and features including mobile experience.
*Knowledge of LUA is not a pre-requisite, but would be a definite advantage.
*Must have excellent spoken and written English communication and presentation skills, as demonstrated by recent experience (within the past 5 years) in programming for web applications;
*Must have recent experience in JavaScript and MVC development (within the past 5 years), as demonstrated by the successful deployment of JavaScript based solutions - customer references/URLs shall be provided upon request;
*Must demonstrate the ability and self-motivation to work on his/her own but must also work well within groups as part of a team;
*Must demonstrate an ability and keen sense for problem-solving.
