Our client is seeking a talented API & Integration Architect to join our team in the Midlands with experience in defining and delivering Integration Architectures including APIs, SOA.
This role will act as the UK contact and aid to the global team to help them with global specifics around a newly developed CofE.
Looking for a seasoned Contract Solution Architect who has worked in the integration space who can work with a global team.
Essential Skills
- Experience in defining and delivering Enterprise Integration Architectures including APIs, SOA,
- Experience in defining Integration architecture for large organisations, and of demonstrating alignment between business objectives and the target integration architecture
- Proven experience in delivering APIs through the use of an API management tool (or equivalent) for internal and external consumption
- Experience designing APIs that are fully scalable and designed with the future needs of the business in mind
- Ability to work under pressure, and in particular to identify the integration architecture decisions and issues which have the most importance and impact within the wide range of programme decisions to be taken at any particular point in time.
- Understanding the implications of integration patterns to the consumer applications and provider systems
- Demonstrable expertise in API First, contract-led design and experience in and deep understanding of API and service design
- Experience of Integration patterns and associated best practise (eg Web Services, REST, Pub/Sub, MOM)
- Ability to lead technology vendors and strategic partners to design solutions and deliver architectural artefacts
- Experience of working alongside technical leads and IT suppliers to contribute to/define API service definitions
Desirable Skills
- API Management knowledge and experience, ideally with the IBM API Connect v5 product
- Experience of at least one significant integration platform (eg, IBM Integration Bus)
