FinXL IT Professional Services is an established innovative Australian company providing technology enabled business solutions and consulting services across a number of industries including Telecommunications, Commercial, Government and Finance.

FinXL are looking to engage ServiceNow Developers for one of our high-profile clients on an initial six (6) month engagement.

The role includes hands-on development and ability to work closely with solution designers, application architects, project managers, various technical teams and the business stakeholders to translate business requirements into working, high-quality development packages.

Including, but not limited to:

Development work (both change and bug fixes) on ServiceNow instances, participation in requirements and solution definition, work package estimation, time logging, supporting testing and working closely with IT teams and adherence to the SDLC and delivery practices and standards. The role will also require participation in peer code reviews, release/implementation planning, working with support and operational teams as required and working closely with other developers to provide technical expertise and mutual peer professional support as required.

Key Accountabilities & Area of Responsibility:

  • Work closely with IT and Business teams to develop and enhance ServiceNow capabilities.
  • May include UI, Workflow and Application development activities, enhancements, break-fix and new modules.
  • Develop ServiceNow customisations including, but not limited to: Client Scripts, UI policies, UI Actions, Script Includes, Business Rules, workflow administration, report setup, and data imports.
  • Follow and improve software development processes (including Agile processes)
  • Actively participate in team meetings and discussions
  • Deliver ServiceNow software solutions to complex requirements
  • Work individually and in virtual teams
  • Own and control in-scope development package scope and version
  • Deliver ServiceNow development work packages on time and within budget
  • Contribute to outcomes in a dynamic, customer focussed team

Experience required:

  • Proven track record in ITSM technologies and comfortable in a dynamic and challenging technical organisation
  • 2+ years of experience developing on the ServiceNow platform in multiple medium to large enterprise environments
  • 5+ years of experience with application development experience (SDLC, Agile Scrum, etc.)
  • Solid understanding of web services (REST/SOAP/WSDL/XML), and HTTP Request Methods
  • Experience with ServiceNow client and Server Side Javascript and the ServiceNow APIs
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with other systems such as Active Directory, Single Sign-On, Web Services, etc.
  • Understands technical and functional design requirements related to ServiceNow.
  • Possess experience with new ServiceNow implementations/deployments
  • Understanding of software development methodologies
