ITRS Geneos Consultant
Our client, a global investment bank with significant operations in Dublin, is currently looking to recruit an ITRS consultant for their business. The ideal candidate will need to possess a solid technical background, excellent inter-personal skills, attention to detail, project management skills and a proven track record of success.
Their day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the implementation of monitoring dashboards (using ITRS Geneos) to help support teams pro-actively identify application issues impacting the MiFID trading and reporting environment. This includes working with the development community to identify metrics to improve transparency of application performance across departments.
Responsibilities:
- Gathering application monitoring requirements.
- Conducting application flow analysis and identify critical metrics.
- Create wireframes of dashboard design for stakeholder approval.
- Build monitoring dashboards to map application flow and present data to the agreed design.
- Document on-going maintenance requirements and perform knowledge transfer activities.
Skills - Required
- Excellent communication skills, methodical and a fine attention to detail.
- Managing changes from Development and UAT into Production.
- ITRS Geneos Admin level knowledge for implementing new monitoring requirements.
- ITRS Geneos monitoring products running in a large corporate environment.
- ITRS Geneos dashboard design.
- ITRS Geneos toolkit development essential.
- Strong understanding of the Linux operating system.
- Good knowledge of SQL (specifically MySQL and Oracle).
Skills - Desirable
- Working in a highly pressurised trading environment.
- UNIX Shell/Perl/Python Scripting skills.
- Experienced in a client facing role in technology.
- Experience with Equities trading applications.
- Working with source control systems eg Subversion, GIT.
- Configuring Web Servers eg Apache.
