Description

Fantastic opportunity for a Software Developer to embark on an initial 6 month contract with my renown public sector client, based at their prestigious Exeter based headquarters.

If successful you'll be working in an existing team, as a Senior Developer to extend their current mobile website offering. You will be responsible for supporting, maintaining and extending existing code on premise and in the cloud. You'll work with external stakeholders to make changes to deployed code within the CMS and work closely with release teams to ensure the secure delivery of fixes into the live environment. You will take responsibility for leading smaller pieces of work, include planning, scoping and estimation as supervise the team in absence of senior staff. You will be expected to assist with coaching less experienced team members and share your broad knowledge with the team.

To be successful you will be able to demonstrate experience of delivering web applications. You will possess a strong understanding of mobile device technologies and requirements and have an understanding of the application of usability and accessibility requirements to websites. You must possess strong Front End development skills including JavaScript, CSS3, HTML5 and Freemarker.
