Cobol Developer - 6 months - Belgium - Start ASAP - English speaking
I am looking for a Cobol developer for a manufacturing client based in Belgium, just outside of Brussels. You will be working on an English speaking site, and the contract is likely to be extended.
You responsibilities will include:
- Investigate system and programming problems, propose solutions and recommend design improvements for increased efficiency.
- You'll handle complex programming assignments and develop Mainframe applications using Cobol, CICS, VSAM and DB2.
- You will analyse product requirements and translate them into detailed system functionality by working with internal organisations and/or clients.
- You'll develop architectural components in support of business requirements and standards for application development;
- You will build system and program test plans and procedures
You will have experience with:
- 10+ years - JCL, Cobol
- Strong CICS
- Strong DB2
- Stored procedures
- You should have experience with VSAM and JCL
- Good communication
