MY client is one of the best known names on Bristol digital scene. They've got a number of exciting upcoming projects with well-known house hold names and they're looking for the best Front End talent in Bristol to help drive them forward.
It's a great time to be joining - my client have recently kicked off a major programme of investment in a bid to offer one of the best working environments in Bristol. The entire development team is being offered upgraded computers and monitors, the office is being refurbished and project work is being reduced to offer more time for training & personal development.
You'll be working in modern, open plan offices with an IDE of your choice, dual screens, casual dress code, espresso machine, free fruit & biscuits and even an office dog!
On top of that you can expect lots of interesting, greenfield work using the very latest tech. What more could a developer want?!
What we're looking for in a Front End Developer:
First things first - we're looking for the right person, not just a check list of skills, hence why we're open to people of different experience levels.
We're looking for a passionate technologist who loves what they do and is up to date on the latest trends even if you've not used them in a commercial setting.
You'll understand patterns for complex client side applications like MVC and you'll need to be fluent in ES2016 & ES2017 syntax. You'll also need to be comfortable with CSS processors like SASS.
What the projects look like:
This is a varied agency style role developing the front end for a range of different web, mobile and cloud projects.
You'll typically be working with:
- Semantic HTML
- JavaScript / ES2016 and/or ES2017
- PostCSS / SASS
- RESTful API
- Git
- Gang of Four patterns
