Description:
Background:
We are implementing a new IT platform for documentation and maintenance of their network. An important part of the project is to migrate data from existing source systems to the target system. Most of the data will be migrated automatically with the help of FME but still some part of data needs to be migrated semi automatically. We are now looking for a software developer that can help us develop supporting tools for migration and refinement of geodata.
The refinement process is part of a larger project that migrates large volumes of data from existing source systems into a new GIS-platform. The refinement tools are developed in order to help speed up the migration process and are integrated into the new platform.
You will be part of our technical team responsible for developing and delivering system customization, integration and quality tools based on customer needs. An important feature for success is that you will engage in business logic and complicated data models, as well as in different systems. The development is done in .NET and Python.
Requirements:
Competence:
High-level programming and related technical skills in C#
Experience of agile development methodologies
Understanding of relational spatial databases
Fluent in English and Swedish, verbally and written
At least 5 years of programming experience
Successful candidates will demonstrate:
Understand business requirements provided as functional specifications and design GIS applications - Desktop, Web etc.
Experience in developing GIS based application extensions and Add-Ins (.Net/ArcPy) for ESRI ArcGIS Desktop - .NET (C#) - essential.
Experience with ArcGIS desktop installation, configuration and map development.
Installation and unit testing of custom applications and add-ins.
Prepare documentation that describes the operating procedures for using GIS applications developed by the team.
Experience of working with Enterprise Geodatabases (ArcGIS Server-SDE) with underlying standard DBMS (Oracle 11g or above).
Knowledge and experience with editing scenarios in a ultiuser Geodatabase (Versioning concepts in ArcSDE)
Provide technical support in resolving issues in custom applications.
Demonstrated ability to support business end users and production issues as and when required.
Desirable skills:
Python (2.x) programming experience.
Experience in telecommunications or other network based industry
Prior experience of Ericsson Network Engineer
