Start date: ASAP

Contract duration: 6 months renewable contract

Salary rate: Market standards.

Role summary/purpose of job

  • A role within the Enterprise Finance & Risk Team is required the support the Firm's new core practice management system; Elite 3e. Elite 3e is currently being delivered as part of the Clite's Drive programme.
  • The Client's Drive programme is responsible for replacing the firm's core Practice Management/Finance (billing and general ledger), time recording and Risk and Compliance systems globally.
  • The role of 3E Developer will initially support the Programme team to deliver Elite 3e into the production environment. During which, the role will be expected to work in both Manchester and London.
  • In addition, this role will be required to support the recruitment of additional 3e roles and work collaboratively with the IT Transition Team to transition Elite 3e into the Global IT Team.
  • Finally, the role will lead the development of the Elite 3e technology stack across the Firm.

Key responsibilities and deliverables

  • Lead software development work-streams providing end to end ownership including; specification and design, estimation and planning, build, release and support
  • Developing new software applications/modules/customisations in partnership with other members of the development team, business analysts and technical architects.
  • Liaise with business users as required within the role, maintaining a high level of service within all aspects of the individual's work
  • Work collaboratively as part of a team or individually to achieve business outcomes, maintaining constructive working relationships with IT peers
  • Unit testing software to ensure the code is correct, fixing errors where they occur, and rerunning and rechecking the programme until it produces the correct results
  • Provide 3rd level support to in-house developed applications, integrations and the Elite 3e product

Key requirements

Essential Technical Skills

  • Elite 3E IDE and database structures.
  • Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio 2012 and above.
  • Extensive experience using Microsoft tools and programming languages.
  • Development experience using the .NET framework.
  • Strong background in database design, analysis and development.
  • Experience in Microsoft SQL Scripting and Server 2012.
  • Experience in producing reports from Elite 3e or similar systems.
  • Experience working with XML related technologies, including XSLT and Xpath.
  • Experience working with Web Service related technologies, including SOAP and REST.
  • Minimum of 5 years' of developing/supporting Elite 3e.
  • Experience of supporting test life cycle's for Elite 3e Practice Management Systems.
  • Experience of Elite 3e modules, processes and technology.
  • Ability to interpret design documentation.
  • Strong communicator and able to present high quality documentation.
  • Strong planning and execution skills with attention to detail.
  • Leadership skills demonstrated through lead developer/or team lead roles covering planning, reporting, issue & risk management and people management skills.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.

Desirable Technical Skills

Experience of working with global stakeholders.

Experience of integrating Elite 3e with the IntApp technology stack, including IntApp Open and IntApp Integrate.
