Description
The client is a large bank in Amsterdam (the Netherlands) that is looking to expand their Data Science team with an experienced professional (>3 years' experience) to solve a wide variety of real-world business problems. It concerns a contract position for a minimal period of 6 months. They are looking for someone with thorough understanding of the latest algorithms and tooling so you can further improve the banks services in the field of Big Data. Furthermore, strong communication skills (English) are required that enable you to work in cross-functional teams. From time to time you may be asked to coach and guide junior Data Scientists and interns.
They require a Data Scientist with knowledge and experience in/with:
- Machine Learning: Classification, Regression, Clustering, Association Rules, Text Mining. You have an excellent understanding of Random Forests, Neural Networks, Logistic Regression, SVM, KNN, K-Means, LDA, etc.
- Programming Languages: Python, R. Scala is a pre
- Tools: Spark, Hadoop (ecosystem), MapReduce
- Database handling: SQL, Hive. Familiar with Oracle, Netezza, HBase, Cassandra, Graph databases
- Visualization tools: D3.js, Shiny, Angular
