Candidate profile:
They are seeking a talented senior developer to join our team. Their product is an industry-leading platform for which we are adding new functionality and features. You will be expected to support both the existing software and work on strategic improvements. This will also include sophisticated design and code generation products.
Your main responsibilities in this hands-on role will be:
Understand business requirements and translate into technical solutions
Responsible for overall technical delivery of key projects.
Implement required code changes and new features using coding best practices
Ensure test coverage is enough to meet both business and team lead requirements
Lead junior team members on technical approach and review code
Undertake risk assessments and impact of change analysis
Observe best practices in code managements
Your core skills will include:
Full stack development experience;
Strong object oriented development skills. C# .NET is essential
Database technologies; SQL Server (Oracle, MySQL also acceptable)
Integrations with 3rd parties; APIs
Front-end development skills; HTML, CSS, JavaScript, XML
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong coding and debugging skills
Able to estimate accurately and report progress and risks to project management
Writing unit tests, test driven development
Excellent problem-solving skills, ability to overcome technical challenges
Self-motivator with a willingness to learn new skills
Superb attention to detail and accuracy
Beneficial skills:
Agile and test driven development methodologies
OOP design
XSLT
SVN or other source control product
Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry
The successful candidate will ideally hold a 1st Class or 2:1 degree level or equivalent in a computing or mathematical subject.
Candidates are typically graduates with a relevant degree and a track record of working on their own personal projects
