Job Description:
In order to strengthen our new project team we are looking for a talented SW developer knowledgeable in Python, with a GUI design affinity.
Responsibilities:
As a member of the multi-site project team, you will be developing a Graphical User Interface baseline in Python:
Tasks:
- You will pick up a development activity in a schedule-driven environment.
- You will analyse and understand the existing GUI prototypes developed in Matlab.
- You will port these prototypes to Python, maturing the code to be scalable and maintainable in a multi-site environment.
- You will synchronise your code with the integration requirements negotiated with a remote site.
- This includes the user interface Back End, linking to the algorithm implementation,
- And the Front End, reflecting the high level specifications.
- You will need to understand the user experience context of the high level requests and translate them to development activities.
- An academic understanding of signal processing is needed in order to be independent and responsive.
Personal skills/competences:
- Fluent in Python and a competence with Matlab.
- Experienced in GUI design.
- Affinity with software development and testing and understanding the requirements for software product development.
- Good understanding of signal processing theory.
- Creative and passionate working attitude, open-minded, and flexible.
- Communicative team player working in an international environment with different cultures.
- Able to drive activities to closure, including proper communication in the organisation.
