Description
A key client of mine is currently looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with extensive C++ design experience. You will be based in Ireland and the contract will run for an initial 12 months working for one of the world's biggest tech companies.
Key Skills:
System Software Development mainly in Objective C (C++ with Strong OOPS Design Concepts Would also be considered) with strong emphasis on overall system design of the station software, used across multiple MFG test-engineering environment.
Integration of new modules and optimization of existing modules to suit ever-changing performance needs.
Being responsible for there on schedule delivery, that they meet desired cycle time, with acceptable retry and fail rates
Helping to debug issues with stations and drive resolution of same. This would involve working with other teams, eg Hardware, OS, BootROM, etc. and also working with vendors on cables, fixtures, etc.
Suited to someone who is a good programmer and has a background in consumer electronics manufacturing/test engineering and understanding of Hardware interfaces
Desired Skills:-
Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns (Singleton, MVC)
Strong Experience with Latest C++ at Design level
Complex application debug experience with GDB
Strong experience with Kernel and Linux Internals
Implementation experience with Algorithm and Data Structures
Experience working in all stages of the development life cycle,requirement gathering, design, implementation, testing and support.
Multithreading programming, Network Socket programming
Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills.
