Description
My client, a leading Medical Device manufacturer are looking for an Embedded Software Engineer to join them on a contract basis for an initial 6 months at their site in Dublin, Ireland, start date immediate.
Main Responsibilities:
- Responsible for design and work planning for assigned software modules.
- Responsible for developing and performing validation planning and execution activities to clearly defined acceptance criteria.
- Support internal or external design and evaluations that support the development of new instruments, sensors, technologies and complete functional systems
- Develop and own software product technology to assist in creating product development and top-level product documentation to meet product development goals.
- Develop and implement design characterisation or design verification strategy for efficient, complete and robust testing through report completion and anomaly resolution or adapting existing methodologies.
Key Requirements:
- Experience in architecture, design and development of complex sophisticated software-controlled electromechanical medical devices.
- Fluent in C, C++ with the ability to adapt to other emerging tools and languages as required
- Understanding of hardware specifications and schematics
- Familiar with UX design concepts as applied to Embedded design. An understanding of the Qt environment is an advantage.
- Good understanding of Realtime Embedded Operating systems such as Linux, QNX, SafeRTOS etc.
- Excellent communications skills
