Senior UX Designer - FTSE 100 backed Accelerator/Innovation hub

World Leading Global Energy Oil Company has an exciting opportunity for a Senior UX Designer ideally with expertise in data/analytics/dashboards, to join their Digital Ventures area which is changing the way in which this Oil Supermajor designs, builds and launches digital products and services on their B2B mobile and web E-commerce platform.

Alongside the Product Manager, you will work with a dynamic cross-functional venture teams that act like startups and which work collaboratively to solve business problems as well as exploring new opportunities.

In this role you will work to develop a wide range of User Experiences from native mobile applications, client web applications and large scale E-commerce sites. Expert-level grounding in key UX methodologies, such as user and competitive research, usability testing, prototyping is essential.

Working in an agile and fast paced environment, they aim to encourage creativity and stimulate new ideas. You will be highly enthusiastic about new technology and will play a hugely significant role within their team and the company as a whole.

About the Role:

  • Delivering high quality deliverables and creating exciting and customer focused digital experiences across web and mobile
  • Run workshops with colleagues and stakeholders to generate ideas and solve problems
  • Plan and conduct user research and translate findings into actionable solutions
  • Create concepts to varying levels of fidelity to demonstrate and test ideas
  • Create documentation - be it sketches, user flows, sitemaps, wireframes or prototypes to make sure stakeholders are comfortable and colleagues can work efficiently
  • Estimate time and delivery of the project UX components with your team
  • Work closely with a Product Manager to prioritise features
  • Work closely with UI and tech to ensure ideas and insights are translated into final outputs

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Several years designing and documenting user experiences for web and mobile applications in a Lean and Agile manner
  • Strong commercial experience with information architecture, content strategy, user experience, research, usability testing
  • Expert understanding of information architecture, workflows, concept development and interaction design
  • Strong portfolio of previous work including UX deliverables such as wireframes, Prototypes, Storyboards, User Journeys, Sketches and more
  • Experience creating compelling digital experiences that drive business results
  • Experience understanding complex organisational structures and processes
  • Experience taking a digital product or service from concept to launch and beyond
  • Prototyping and wireframe creation tools such as Axure, Sketch and inVision
  • Comfort in presenting ideas and backing up with rationale
  • An entrepreneurial interest and business sense

This needs combining with a positive attitude and an ability to work within a large, globally dispersed project team in a multi-cultural environment.

You also need to be a self-starter, a logical thinker and a quick learner with strong initiative and excellent communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to write clearly and concisely.
