Executive Summary:An innovation and transformation global consultancy is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Data Engineer to join their office in Utrecht. They specialise in supporting and unearthing new ideas for other organisations. Employing over 2,600 specialists in consumer, defence and security, energy and utilities, financial services, government, healthcare , life sciences, manufacturing and transport, and logistics. They operate globally from offices across the Americas, Europe, the Nordics and the Gulf.
As a Senior Data Engineer you will join a development team that will help its clients give valuable insight on the basis of complex quantitative and qualitative data with which to help model their most important business priorities.
The Role:
- Implement systems for processing intake, transforming, storing, and analysing large quantities of data from the business.
- Linking financial data with marketing data in a Hadoop environment.
- Offer a new warehouse for a traditional data warehouse with future technology to make it easier to fill and to make it operational.
Personal and professional qualities:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - proven by a university degree (or equivalent).
- Strong knowledge of data flows and data visualisation techniques, and of the operationalise data streams in often complex environments.
- Experience with RDBMSs such as MS SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Hive.
- Insight and interest in NoSQL systems such as MongoDB, Couchdb and key-value stores such as Cassandra, Hbase, dataflow systems such as Apache Kafka, Nifi, and IaaS and PaaS environments (e.g. MS Azure, Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform).
- Dutch speaking.
