Data Analytics EngineerLocation: Mexico or Eastern Europe (Remote)

The team is looking for financial analytics engineer to design and develop workflows and create analytics to digitally transform the current reporting and business decision processes.
Specifically, the role will be responsible for:
Building data pipelines that produce data assets in the accounting workflow to:
Reconcile cash to accounting ledgers
Create financial reporting for reinsurance partners (e.g. excess layer / quota share)
Support reporting for captive partners
Settlement reporting
Detail premium and claims reporting
Create pipeline adjustments to source system data to reflect correct values and assist in system programming bug fixes
Manage exception reporting for cross-functional workflows (e.g. collaborative work with policy issue teams)
Build data health and process control reports
Develop and report on key business operational and KPI performance metrics.
Provide reporting for downstream corporate processes (e.g. captive reporting for CRAS, reinsurance platform)
Work with downstream data teams on reconciliation, integration and data flow alignment
Building data assets as the foundation for analysis performed by other business functions
Data to segment profitability and trend analysis for Pricing Actuarial
Data to support financial projections and analysis team (FP&A)
Data to support Reserving Actuarial process
Data to support Actuarial Control analysis
Data to support year-end Accounting audit
Data to support internal audit requests
Data to support statutory regulatory reporting
Data to support A&H LoB management steering
Data to support A&H Underwriting performance metrics
Data to support A&H Sales team producer partner analysis
Based on experience and interest, this role may evolve to include extraction of external data for internal analysis, development of portfolio analytics, and application of data science techniques to improve estimates.
About You
• Experience with SQL, Visual Studio, UC4, SSIS and SSRS (Microsoft Azure framework)
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science
• Strong work ethic and self-starter who can deliver results quickly
• Good communication skills and the ability to translate technical concepts
• Knowledge of insurance concepts preferred but not required
• Knowledge of accounting principles preferred but not required
