SAS Specialist

Whitehall Resources are currently looking for a SAS Specialist

Key Requirements:

- You will contribute to the software engineering communities by providing your ideas for innovation and process improvement and coaching and mentoring less experienced team members.
- You will work on the full range of software engineering and solutions development activity; covering requirements gathering and analysis, solutions design, software coding and development, testing, implementation and live support.
- Work as part of an Agile software delivery team; typically delivering within an Agile Scrum framework.

Key Experience:

- Experience as a software engineer delivering within large scale and complex 'big data' and data analytics solutions.
- Technical expertise in several of our key SAS technologies: SAS Data Integration Studio, SAS Enterprise Guide, Base SAS and SAS Macro programming, Platform LSF/PM, SAS Management Console.
- A working knowledge of one or more SAS Viya technologies, such as SAS Visual Analytics, SAS Visual Investigator, SAS Visual Mining and Machine Learning.
- Ability to operate at all stages of the software engineering life cycle.
- Experience of Agile Scrum based delivery.
- Personal drive, enthusiasm, willingness to learn.
- Excellent communications skills.

Nice to Have Skills:

- Oracle familiarity.
- AIX/Linux.
- Unix Scripting.
- JIRA and Confluence.
- Gitlab.
- Good customer-facing skills.
- Problem solver.
- Self-sufficient.
- Providing technical advice/governance to users.
- Good written and verbal communication skills, Problem solving and creativity skills, Honesty and Integrity, Eagerness to learn, Drive and energy, Professional appearance.

This role will be Inside of IR35, so you would be required to use an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company.
