Data Engineer - Glasgow - 6 Month Contract
Our Public Sector client are currently recruiting for a Data Engineer to join on a 6 month initial contract, outside of IR35.
The successful candidate will have the following skills/knowledge:
- UML or other methodologies
- Data flow diagramming
- Power BI and Power Query.
- Azure SQL Database and TSQL
- PowerShell, C#, R, Python
- Azure Data Factory
- Azure Synapse (Kimball method)
- Integration Services
- Entity Relation Modelling (Logical and physical)
- Power Platform (Nice to Have)
- Common Data Store (Nice to Have)
- Logic Apps (Nice to Have)
Knowledge of Project Management: (Nice to Have)
- Waterfall and Agile based techniques
- Project life cycle management, from inception, business case, project initiation, through to implementation, governance, and controls
- Managing Success Programmes and Scrum expertise applied to data driven projects is desired
Business Data Analysis (Nice to Have)
- Translate requirements from business to technical (UML or other methodology)
- Business information modelling
- Data analysis techniques
- Conceptualise and describe/design data flow
- Software development life cycle
