Lead .NET Developer - Design, CMS, Agile, Umbraco, .NET core, C#, React, Architecture, Fully Remote, EPiServer, Sitefinity, Kentico, Angular, Outside IR35, Work Form Home
This is a fantastic Lead .NET Developer contract role to work with a leading tech company on exciting greenfield projects. Initial 6 months contract on a longer term project.
The role can be Fully Remote (very nice London office is an option whenever you like if you prefer!) and is Outside IR35.
As Lead .NET Developer you will be working closely with a strong existing Dev team to work on a high profile multi-site project. As Lead .NET Developer, whilst hands on Dev skills with all things .NET is required, this role also requires Design (systems etc) especially around CMS as well as acting as the Team (not just Technical) Lead. A large part of the project is around CMS - particularly Umbraco and migrating multiple sites and CMS onto one. So whilst the team currently has the Dev expertise which covers all the day to day Umbraco development heavy lifting, they require a more traditional Lead .NET Developer with Design skills who can help to shape the project and ultimately guide the Umbraco Devs in terms of what they need to be working on. For this reason as Lead .NET Developer some sort of CMS experience is must - Umbraco would be the clear preference, then Sitecore, followed by EPiServer, Sitefinity, Kentico and so on.
Again the Umbraco SME is already on the team Dev wise so the required skill are .NET and CMS fundamentals on a global scale project. The teams follow Agile and general modern Engineering best practises. As Lead C# Developer any FullStack skills with modern JS are a plus, React is most commonly used JS wise followed by Angular. This Lead C# Developer would also suit a hands on Technical Architect with a solid C# .NET background. Full Stack skills welcome but the focus is likely to be Arch, Lead and hands on .NET & CMS vs traditional FS .NET Dev (.Net Core, Angular etc)

- Solid track record leading teams and projects
- Thorough CMS understanding (Umbraco clear preference - alternatively Sitecore, EPiServer, Kentico, Sitefinity etc)
- Extensive .NET Development skills (.Net Core, Asp.NET etc)
- System Design, Architecture skills (not necessarily to Arch levels)
- Strong communication & stakeholder management skills
- Agile
