Description

Role: Principal Information Analyst

Location: Leeds (Some remote working available)

IR35: Inside

Rate: £550/day (umbrella)

Duration: 6 months

CV Deadline: 21st at 12:00

Skills Required

  • Evidence of active engagement with stakeholders and negotiation skills and commitment to meeting stakeholder expectations.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to choose content and style to suit the audience, including large groups.
  • Significant experience of leading on a range of projects, including the allocation of work to other staff, to deliver quality outcomes to deadline and identifying risks.
  • Experience developing processes and procedures to ensure the effective, efficient and robust collection of data.
  • Experience of overseeing an analytical service delivery including the regular production of statistical products and publications.
  • Experience of using statistical packages eg SAS, SPSS, Working with R or Python OR experience of using SQL
  • Proven ability to adapt technical thinking at pace in a fast-changing environment.
  • Proficient in identifying and defining the resources needed to deliver to a specification

The Role:

The principal information analyst is in the Population health, Clinical Audit and Specialist Care team.

This post is within the publications and adhocs squad leading on a range of analytical development projects including:

  • Automation of publications production processes, including supporting migration away from SAS where appropriate, with a particular focus on population health publications.
  • Leading on building reproducible analytical pipelines to create data outputs and publications
  • Stakeholder engagement and interpreting customer requirements, writing appropriate specifications and leading on the delivery of the requirements across a range of datasets and outputs.
  • Leading on improvements to the data visualisations and display of data in official statistics releases, across a wide variety of health topics
