We have an amazing brand new opportunity for a Denodo/ETL Developer to join our client who is a global Fortune500 consultancy. The ideal candidate will have strong Denodo Database Virtualization skills coupled with current experience in Data Integration, ETL, web services, microservice architecture, and related technologies and have a strong understanding of data structures and cloud technologies primarily AWS. You will be required to work in a team environment and will be responsible for full life cycle software development including new development, design/architecture, and implementation of data virtualization service solutions using Denodo.
Your key responsibilities will be:
* Identify and analyse user requirements
* Prioritise, assign and execute tasks throughout the software development life cycle
* Develop new applications
* Write well-designed, efficient code
* Review, test and debug team members' code
* Ensure our applications are secure and up-to-date
What experience are we looking for?
* Denodo DV (VDP, ITPilot, Catalog)
* Connecting to different data sources: Flatfiles, RDBMS, Redshift, Web Services (APIs), Cloudera CDH etc.
* Developing Data Virtualization transformations
* Knowledge of VQL
* Performance Optimization techniques - Caching
* Review and integrate the technical architecture requirements.
* Participate in Data Virtualization Technical reviews
* Demonstrated experience interacting with all levels of technical and business stakeholders.
* Denodo Certification is desirable
* Experience in an ETL toolset (Talend, Pentaho, AWS DMS etc) is highly desirable
* Experience in a Database/Datastores (Oracle, RDS, Redshift, MySQL, Hadoop, Postgres, S3 etc)
* Experience in Datamodelling (Data Warehouse, Marts)
* Programming and Scripting languages (PL/SQL, SQL, Unix, Java, Python, Hive, HiveQL, HDFS, Impala, etc)
