Frontend UI Developer
We are seeking a Frontend UI Developer to join JP Morgan in Glasgow on an initial 6 months contract. We are ideally seeking candidates with React experience but will consider similar frameworks.
This is an extremely hands-on, delivery-focused, technical position involving a lot of analysis, coding, testing and interfacing with our end users. A good knowledge of Investment Banking and Markets is highly desirable but a thirst for knowledge and the knack to apply that knowledge is just as good to us. There will be a high degree of teamwork and technical peer interaction involved.
The role will allow for some remote working within the UK with a requirement to come into the office on a rotational basis of possibly 2 - 3 days per week or 1 week in 1 week remote so please bear this in mind when applying.

Required Skills and beneficial to have working experience of:The successful candidate is likely to have experience of most, but not all, of the following:
- Substantial experience with software design and senior development skills in a high pressure, time critical environment.
- Several years of in-depth HTML5/JavaScript/TypeScript
- Competent with developing multithreaded, scalable, concurrent applications.
- Automated testing with Cucumber/Gherkin style syntax
- Deep knowledge of UI testing frameworks and assertions
- ECMAScript spec and modern features
- Pure JavaScript
- TypeScript
- SASS/LESS/CSS3
- React or similar view framework
- Browser support, HTML5 compatibility
- Chrome Profiler
- Functional programming
- Node JS (Server Side and tooling)
- Web Sockets
- Data visualization/charting libraries such as D3
- JavaScript accessibility and regulations
- Experience of working in a TDD environment
- Full stack developer
- Java or other Server Side languages
