A key client of Talent International are currently seeking multiple contractual Embedded Software Engineers on a 6/12 month contract basis.
THIS IS OUTSIDE IR35!
They developed an Edge Compute platform providing a secure end-to-end solution to run applications at the Edge. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Embedded software engineer to join a global technology company. You will be involved in the software development for the edge computing wireless platform.
You will have responsibilities for designing and developing the cloud platform features against a fast paced roadmap. You will be involved in the architecture of cloud solutions, the orchestration and management of the microservice deployments and refactoring to improve the efficiency and scalability of the platform.
EXPERIENCE:
Required:
- Track record of software development for cloud systems, ideally Golang-based.
- Expertise with orchestration tools, Kuberentes and Docker swarm/stack
- Knowledge of scaling cloud-based microservices
- Linux tools, Scripting, Git and the command line are all second nature
- Ability to communicate articulately, both verbally and in writing to colleagues and
Desirable:
- Experience with API Gateways and service mesh
- Knowledge of IoT messaging protocols, specifically MQTT
- Appreciation for security
- Keeness to explore programming languages and open-source technologies
Daily rate available is up to £475pd/99% remote working, expected to occasionally pop into there office (once a month or every two months).
