We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who require a Front End Developer for one of their Public sector Clients based in Exeter (Offices are open, 1 or two days a week in the office ).

Job Description:
Minimum Requirement:
- Work with the existing Bowel Cancer Screening team to support, maintain and improve the BCSS system through the remediation of technical debt.
- Conduct end-to-end delivery of any requirements in line with delivery priorities within the FY. This includes all development, data manipulation, customisation and tuning within the required systems to deliver the outputs (priorities are subject to change depending on circumstance and outputs may vary during the year).
- Conduct refactoring of existing code within systems to fit best practice
- Identify unused areas of code within the system, plan for and conduct removal.
- Provide specialist skills transfer (pair programming, peer review, collaborative working) to enable NHS Digital staff to continue to develop and support the systems
- Document work conducted in line with our existing templates for specifications
- Participate in all agile ceremonies throughout the delivery cycle including daily stand-ups, planning, refinement and retrospectives.
- Contribute to a cross-functional agile delivery team by collaborating with other team members to achieve the desired outcomes.
- Support the software release process by facilitating deployments into live environments
Experience in the following technologies:
- JAVA
- Git
- Cloud Technologies (AWS)
- Jenkins
- Splunk
- Sonarqube
- Experience with continuous delivery, continuous deployment and automation
- Knowledge of Jenkins & Sonarqube
- Proven record of using Test-Driven Development (TDD) or Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
- Experience of working in a cross-functional team.
