Description

My client are a prestigious government organisation based in Cardiff, South Wales. They are seeking a Data Analyst on a contract basis, initially until the end of March 22.

The day rate on offer here is £450.00 - £550.00 per day (inside IR35) - depending on experience.
This is an exciting time to be joining this organisation. They are in a period of organisation wide transformation. The use and interpretation of data is key to the success of this delivery and as such this role provides the post holder with a fantastic opportunity to help shape this.

Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will:

  • Lead on the delivery of data ETL (extract, load and transform) within service developments
  • Implement data pipelines to connect operational systems and data for business intelligence.
  • Data model design and implementation.
  • Influence stakeholders in the use of data and analysis to make decisions.
  • Develop excellent working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Seek out opportunities to continuously improve processes.
  • Create and maintain documentation

    • Technical skills:

    • Coding skills eg SQL/PLSQL, Python
    • Datamodelling in AWS Redshift environment
    • Data pipeline creation and use of reporting software eg Business Objects, Alteryx, Apache Airflow
    • Familiarity with Oracle/other relational databases
