Application Security Engineer/Architect/Contract Inside IR35/£750 pd
Application Security Engineer/Architect is required for a contract with a leading Bank based in London.
A application security expert, with is required who has experience in analysing, conceptualizing, and designing the architecture for a robust environment including applications, hosting and projects, from an Investment banking background.
Security Expertise in application architecture, including authentication and encryption. A person who has security expertise, who understands vulnerabilities assessment, related risks and proposal of remediation plans.
They require an Application Security Engineer/Architect with solid knowledge of public cloud platforms, in particular GCP, you will be part of the banking security team in supporting the acquisition of a new Google Cloud Platform in a Digital environment. GCP experience is essential, with Azure desirable, working in a large and complex DevOps environment.
Your responsibility focuses on working within Security Engineering, designing, building, and assuring a security control and infrastructure compliance framework to continue supporting a growing workload.
This is very much a hands-on role

Skills:
High-level GCP security architectural design, in line with bank standards and principles, to meet the complex business requirements in this highly regulated environment. Hands-on engineering (Jenkins, Terraform, Python, CI/CD, GKE, Cloud Functions) to help mature the existing Infrastructure Compliance framework along with SRE-based Ops Automation activity. Programme/developer engagement to understand requirements, provide security consultancy and onboarding support. Representing the security domain in architecture and engineering forums, challenging unnecessary process and bureaucracy where necessary whilst bringing efficiencies and elegance into solutions and delivery Having the ability to work anywhere
