Platform Developer
Our Public Sector client are recruiting for a Developer to work alongside our in house service desk and 3rd line support team. Reporting into the Head of Service Operations, you will also work with the Senior Service Operations Lead and Service Operations Manager as well as our 3rd Line Technical Architect to assist with the completion of several development tasks as part of our IT Strategy programme of work.
The role
- To create a dashboard to monitor ALL infrastructure components to provide a 'Real Time' environment RAG status that can be accessed via a desktop application/URL as well as displayed within our Service Desk area
- Automate the capture of information that generates the quarterly ARC dashboard report, removing the manual process's currently used by using PowerBI/SQL toolsets
- Create a simple but effective Real Time network bandwidth monitoring tool to improve visibility of our 6 office networks, working with our 3rd party suppliers and internal support teams as required
- Utilise Sentinal to automate the capture of security logs, AZURE and server logs effectively
- Create an automated process to monitor
- Working with the Head of Service Operations and Technical Architect to identify and automate other manual process and procedures used within the IS to improve reporting and support
- Provide a vital role in IT projects whether as a project lead or part of a team
Key skills/Experience
- Experience of application integration and configuration of Visual Studio and the SQL Server BI stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS and Power BI)
- Knowledge of infrastructure and architecture analysis and components
- Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical issues with non-technical language
- Ability to prioritise workloads and deal with conflicting demands from stakeholders
- Previous creation of automating dashboards to assist with data capture
- Significant experience of working as a developer
- Microsoft Power Platform Developer certification
- Experience of GitHub beneficial
