Description

Job Description for the Field Surveyors role:

Surveyor must be comfortable in doing field base survey on tablet/iPad as a mandatory requirement

Survey existing duct infrastructure identifying any non-duct sections on spine and lead-in sections

Good understanding on different type of Structures, Joint boxes(104,106), - JRFs, JUF02, JB(26,21,23,4),D-poles, Hollow poles, JUP,CBTs, Aggregation nodes.

Survey existing Pole infrastructure identifying D-poles and Joint User Poles, taking photos, and recording documentations

Identifying type of existing lead-in ducts and method of aerial drop connection method for each premises within the planned area

Comfortable in iPad or tablet to conduct the survey

Identifying any Traffic sensitive areas within the planned area and advise of solution to avoid traffic management if applicable

Managing expectations and dealing with any issues encountered with could affect works progress such as wayleaves, re-routes or tree cutting

Liaising with planning department to plan any additional fiber nodes for FTTH for any sites identified during the survey

Assess network capacity to cover claimed premises, adding or removing planned nodes as applicable

Using and updating GIS system to study the FTTH plan and carry out any changes where required

Preparing survey report using various design software packages such as Word, Excel, Visio, etc.

Presenting survey findings back to planning team, suggesting alternative solutions for issue found

Identify opportunities to add coverage that may not have been considered in desktop plans.
