Data Architect - SC Cleared
£550 - £650 per day - Outside IR35

Digital skills are working closely with a great up-and-coming client who is providing large complex data tools to their end clients. And they are in need of a skilled and experienced SC Cleared Data Architect to join the team.
Your role will be to lead the designs of secure batch/Real Time data platforms. This involves working closely with Data Engineer and getting data from a variety of different sources, getting it into the right format, assuring alignment to target models, and ensuring that users can get the data quickly for analysis.
This is an Outside IR35 contract position, the role will predominantly be remote working with the rare occasion to travel to South London to meet onsite with internal and external teams.
Must hold Active SC Clearance
Your key responsibilities
- Design scalable data pipelines and build out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
- Conducts logical and physical database design.
- Conducts data analysis, identifying feasible solutions and enhancements to data processing challenges.
- Ensures that data models are consistent with the data architecture (eg entity names, relationships, and definitions).
- Performing root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement designs data integrations and data quality framework.
- Works closely with business units and engineering teams to develop successful strategies for long-term data platform architecture.
Your skills and experience
- SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres.
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Experience with schema design and dimensional DataModelling.
- Experience with AWS cloud services: EC2, EMR, RDS, Redshift, Athena, Lambda, Glue.
