Alteryx Designer - Alteryx Application Developer

Our client, a leading global supplier for IT services requires an Alteryx Designer to be based in their client's office in Macclesfield, United Kingdom. You may work remotely until covid abates.

This is a 6-month temporary contract to start on 10th Dec 2021.

We are looking for an Application developer who has experience in design, build and configuring Alteryx application to meet business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Working with the product owners and technical leads to understand data extraction, profiling, and reconciliation requirements
  • Prepare technical specifications and documentation for Alteryx workflows
  • Perform data profiling, data quality analysis on application data using Alteryx build components
  • Perform data reconciliation and data validations to maintain accuracy of data sets
  • Work with multiple data sources like Mainframe, SQL server, Oracle, DB2, Azure etc. and connected them to Alteryx and built complex workflows.
  • Develop reusable Alteryx workflows to support recurring data extract requests from business users
  • Provide input to improve the AS-IS process.
  • Support pre-implementation, implementation, and post-implementation phases.

Key Requirements

  • Alteryx Designer
  • Alteryx Engine (R-based tools and macros)
  • Microsoft SQL server DB, Oracle DB
  • Basic T-SQL, PL/SQL
  • Agile methodologies, Stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong working experience in Alteryx designer tool and have used Alteryx Engine for creating macros
  • Strong experience in writing/debugging SQL queries, database table structures and datatypes.
  • Strong experience in working with databases (eg, SQL Server, Oracle)
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Preferred understanding on the concepts of ODBC, REST APIs and connection strings
  • Preferred experience with debugging and optimizing Scripting languages (Python and Perl, etc.)
  • Should have the eagerness to propose & implement value addition initiative
  • Associate should be able to propose and convince customer in terms of implementing industry standard best practices, wherever applicable.
