Developer/Engineer/Programmer - PHP, WordPress, Agile
Fully remote contract
Outside of IR35 paying up to £430 p/d
6 months with scope to extend
Our client, a global media and technology company are currently looking for a Backend PHP Developer to join them on an initial 6-month contract. The client is looking for someone to develop and add features to existing Legacy sites producing company revenues of £2m p/a. Working within an agile development team, the role will be responsible development, testing and deployment, taking into consideration the importance of security, performance, scalability, and observability.
Essential Requirements:
- Demonstrable understanding and experience of PHP and WordPress
- Strong understanding of modern containerisation strategies.
- Considerable hands-on experience developing services for Back End APIs
- Some JavaScript experience to maintain CMS
- Interpretation of large data sets
- Self-motivated and happy to ask questions of team members when they're stuck on a problem.
Any experience with Sports betting data/content would be hugely beneficial, but not essential. The client is looking for someone who has a keen interest in Sport.
