Python Semantic Engineer, Knowledge Graph/Semantic technologies
My client is looking for an experienced contract Python Semantic Engineer to work on site for their investment banking Client. The Python Semantic Engineer will assist in creating an enterprise knowledge graph system. The project will begin by reviewing/creating a new system catalogue for the client's general data information systems. The Python Engineer will be hands on in building this system with the team.
Key skills:
- Strong Python Engineering experience
- Experience of working with large datasets
- Exposure and working knowledge graph/semantic technologies - eg eg. RDF, SPARQL, Neo4j, GraphDB, Stardog
- Python frameworks (Django, Flask, Bottle, FastAPI)
- Experience with large datasets and distributed processing (eg Spark, Dask)
- Container technologies including Docker and Kubernetes on Azure/AWS/GCP
- Experience building RESTful APIs & API development best practice
- Experience of Git & a good understanding of CI/CD best practices
- Experience in Financial Services/Banking projects.
Responsibilities:
- Build efficient Back End features in Python
- Working with knowledge graph/semantic technologies and ontology standards - eg RDF, SPARQL, Neo4j, GraphDB, Stardog, OWL
- Implement best practise API designs including security
- Collaborate with Frontend Developers to implement design into the code
- Implement software enhancements and suggest improvements
- Contribute to CI/CD & Test automation
- Prepare technical documentation
