We are IT Recruitment Specialists partnered with a prestigious Global Consultancy who required a Platform Engineer - Southend - currently WFH for one of their public sector Clients based in UK.
- IR35: This role is inside of IR35

Roles and Task:
Seeking a candidate with Python and web developer with DevOps experience;
Candidate Must be from a development background with strong Object Oriental Programme (OPS) skills and who must have worked in python with frameworks like Flask/Django/FastAPI.
Jenkins (scripted and declarative pipelines) - Candidate must have a very strong day-day user knowledge of Jenkins and a day to day experience of writing pipelines in Jenkins files. Candidate is required to work Client Side within the existing Architect and Environment Team, that has a mixture of Capgemini, Contractors, SREs and HMRC resources.
Brief Description of Tasks to perform
This role requires a professional who is well experienced and knowledgeable in cloud technology especially AWS and python. They must be innovative, competent and comfortable in challenging status quo.
What Technologies are they required to know The suitable candidate must be highly proficient in the use of:
- Jenkins (scripted and declarative pipelines)
- Python (2 and 3)
- Python frameworks (Flask/Django)
- Terraform (0.11 and 0.12)
- AWS (Most of AWS including ECS,EKS)
- Ansible (2.2 and 2.8)
- Linux tools
- Artifactory
- Swarm
- Docker
- Harshicorp vault
- Groovy (for jenkins files)
- Custom ansible frameworks
Mandatory Technical Skills:
- Must have Programming experience (not just Scripting), in addition to skills using above technologies.
- Desirable Technical Skills Object Oriented programming, DDD, TDD, EDA and any extra skills would be nice.
- Mandatory Business Skills Good written and verbal communication skills; Expectation setting, client relations, Proactive, Problem Solving and creativity skills; Honesty and integrity.
- Desirable Business Skills Knowledge of or previous experience with HMRC business.
