Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large household media company and work within the Digital Transformation Sales and Service team where you will work with technologies such as React, Redux, node.js, TypeScript and GraphQL. You will be making use of TDD and agile processes to deliver accessible and performance web applications that support eCommerce and service web journeys across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
The key responsibility for our Javascript Developers is to develop excellent quality software using agile techniques such as Test-Driven Development and Pair Programming, automated, multi-layer testing.

  • Create extremely well crafted Front End web application using ReactJS and Redux
  • Be part of a self-organising and cross functional agile team
  • Champion best practices such as Pair Programming, TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery
  • Write resilient code that will be continuously tested, deployed and will perform at scale
  • You will be a leader within the team, helping the team actively improve overall software quality, whilst looking to help the team and fellow team members improve.
  • Contribute to the team's technical direction, tools and processes
  • Responsible for ensuring the website is highly performant, resilient and secure
  • Ensure the website is well maintained and monitored in production

Key Skills

  • Expert in Javascript, especially React & Redux
  • Previous pair-programming experience and knowledge of TDD/BDD
  • Good experience with Back End technologies
  • Experience of typescript and graphql would be desirable
  • Good understanding of and experience with CI tools (Jenkins, Concourse)
  • Experience with optimising web applications in areas such as performance, security and resiliancy
  • You will initiate and actively participate in discussions
  • Ability to push for new improvements across the codebase and influence/gain buy in from a large community of developers to push through improvements and positive change
  • Great team player and ability to help coach and mentors junior members of the team

Hybrid 2 days in the office 3 days remote based in London
