Description

Job Title: Technical Architect

Contract Length: 3 months - Inside IR35

The Opportunity:

Our client is looking for a Technical Architect to help drive digital transformation. The role requires a service orientated mentality, a high sense of ownership of the projects, tasks, and requests assigned. This is a senior role and the candidate will have a high degree of autonomy and shall be expected to manage their own workload and priorities.

The principal responsibility of the Architect is ownership and delivery of the systems analysis, solution design and oversight of the final delivery products and solutions. The Architect will need to liaise and build relationships with fellow architects, software delivery, IT and the product owners to ensuring that all designs and solutions are efficient, agile, durable and scalable to the enterprise Work with Project implementation teams to define, document and implement client solutions.

Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of professional experience working in development, and infrastructure role. At least 5+ years working in an Application Architect or Infrastructure Architect position.

  • Knowledge of Infrastructure technologies including; Server Operating & Application technologies.

  • Knowledge of Networking infrastructure architecture.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of Quadient Inspire software suite

  • Knowledge and understanding of cloud technologies

  • Knowledge and understanding of containerisation

  • Knowledge of JavaScript/AJAX, XML, JSON

  • Strong database design skills (5+ years) MS SQL Server/Oracle or MySQL

  • System Analysis and Modelling tools and methodologies (eg UML)

  • Experience working with development and project methodologies ie AGILE/waterfall/Prince II

  • Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options

  • Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on client and internal projects.

  • Practical experience in managing elements of system security.

  • An understanding of information legislation and compliance standards, such as the Data Protection Act, PCI DSS, GDPR etc.

  • MS tools including Project, Visio & Office Applications

  • Security design principles (eg OWASP)

  • Experience with PCI/ISO standards an advantage
