Front End Developer (JavaScript, JSF, TypeScript and CSS)
12 month contract initially.
Advantage Resourcing are recruiting on behalf of our globally renowned aerospace client for a Front End Developer with JavaScript, JSF, TypeScript and CSS experience to join their scrum team in Portsmouth. This is a hybrid working role ideally working onsite 2-3 days and rest remote.
You'll be developing code within an agile scrum environment, working with the team to design, implement and test features for a new product development and you'll be responsible for task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.
You'll contribute to all stages of the software development life cycle and so candidates are expected to offer solid experience in software design, wire framing and prototyping, development (particularly using JavaScript, JSF, TypeScript and CSS) and test. Automated testing is a critical part of the project so any experience of this would be highly beneficial.
Technical skills required
Essential
- JavaScript, xHTML, HTML5 and CSS3
- JSF, JSP
- Working with wireframes/mock-ups.
- Experience of coding to RESTful interfaces
- Agile Development Processes (Sprints)
- Responsive web design
- CI/CD delivery techniques
- Source code management (ideally using GIT)
- Issue tracking systems (we use Jira)
- User Experience concepts (eg intuitive, efficient)
- Ability to self-motivate and to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to promote innovation in self and others
- Ability to interact with internal & external stakeholders in a confident and professional manner
- Ability to deliver to quality, cost and schedule
- Good attention to detail

- Experience in using D3
- Experience in using Primefaces
- Experience of Java
- Experience with Spring Framework Applications
